The National e-Governance Division (NeGD), under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, is offering an exclusive opportunity to join its Technical Internship Programme 2025 — a hands-on initiative to empower young minds with technical skills and professional exposure.

This prestigious internship provides an immersive, offline, six-month experience where students engage directly with live government projects. By working alongside experienced professionals, interns contribute to India’s digital transformation while acquiring in-demand industry skills.

NeGD’s Technical Internship Key Highlights:

  • Stipend: ₹20,000 per month
  • Duration: 6 months (Fixed)

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the Technical Internship Programme, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Engineering graduates or postgraduates with a minimum 75% marks in the qualifying degree.
  • Graduated in 2024 or 2025, or final-year students graduating in 2026.

Internship Sessions

The internship is conducted biannually, with sessions starting in January and July. Each session runs for a fixed term of 6 months.

Candidates will be shortlisted based on:

  • Academic performance
  • Interview by NeGD’s internal selection committee
  • Preference to top 100 NIRF-ranked colleges
  • Additional certifications in relevant technologies
